Religious Education and Collective Worship
Our teaching in Religious Education follows the Wolverhampton SACRE Agreed Syllabus and Programme of Study 2015. It aims to promote positive attitudes, tolerance and respect towards all religions in our community.
We have a policy of inviting faith leaders in to assemblies to talk about their faiths and a program of visits to local places of worship. The photographs below represent just a few of these activities that have taken place in the last year.
Assemblies take place every day for the either the whole school, key stage or class. Throughout the year each class has the opportunity to lead an assembly most of which focus on celebrations. There is also a weekly assembly which celebrates and rewards children for good learning during the previous week. Parents are invited to attend when their child receives an award. This is important in supporting our ethos of every child achieving their full potential.
Parents may withdraw their children from all or part of the religious education and collective worship provided.
