Thank you to our friends from Penn Puppets who brought the story of Noah’s Ark to life in this morning’s assembly.

Huge congratulations to the winners of achievement certificates from this morning’s assembly! They are: Kenyah (Rec), Pargyan (Y1), Mohid (Y2), Diego (Y3), Sidaqpreet (Y4 - absent), Rileyjames (Y5) and Lovereet (Y6). Well done, everybody! You make us proud.

Today it was Graiseley’s turn! As part of the Wolverhampton Community Games, the Commonwealth Games Baton is passed from school to school, eventually covering the whole of Wolverhampton. After receiving the baton from the Royal School’s representatives yesterday, we are this morning passing it on to Nishkam. We wish our runners well as they proudly represent our school!

Years 2-5 at Graiseley were today treated to a virtual author visit from Onjali Q. Raúf, who wrote The Boy at the Back of the Class, raising the issue of what life is like for refugees. We even got a chance to ask her questions, and listen to her answers.

This morning, Year 5 put on a very informative assembly about Eid ul Fitr, which is a special celebration marking the end of Ramadan. We wish a happy Eid to everyone who is celebrating tomorrow!

Today we wished good health and happiness for our dear Mrs Sandhu (previously Miss Badhan), who is taking a break from tomorrow to have a baby.
