  • Remembrance and Poppy Sales

A big thank you to Jamie Bingham from the Royal British Legion, who came to talk to us this morning about the work that this charity does, and explained the history behind the poppy-symbol. At playtime, the children who wanted to buy Poppy products were able to do so. If your child was not able to get what they wanted today, the sales will continue every day this week, as long as we have enough stock. A paper poppy costs 50p, a snap band £1.50, a rubber bracelet £1, a zip pull poppy 50p and a key chain poppy £1. Please send your child in with the correct change for what they would like to buy.

  • Black History Day

Today we went off the normal timetable at Graiseley as we took part in Saluting Our Sisters, which is the theme for this year's Black History Month. So many exciting activities took place today that we decided to put together some of the best bits in a video! Enjoy music, dancing, acting, artwork and writing from across our school.

  • Halloween

On the last day before we break up for half term, children at Graiseley could buy a temporary tattoo in the spirit of Halloween. Thank you also to all the children who coloured in a picture for Halloween; the winners received a treat in assembly this week. Some of the best artworks are displayed in the entrance of Tesco's, where you can see them if you want to. We hope you have a happy Halloween, if you are celebrating next week!
